itDJ App Reviews

The current version of this software seems ok, but it gets a little sketchy around the automix feature. From what I have seen so far, this app is little more than a toy to practice mixes with to see how they sound. But for $10, I would say that you could do lots worse than this app for lots more money. Long story short, this app is just a way to enhance the music coming out of your itunes library. But I give 3 stars for the effort. Now I’m off to buy mixmeister.

Ive been messing around with mixers and came across this one. Figured its on sale and has some good things going on. I purchased it and I HAVE NOT STOPPED USING IT YET!!! THIS APP IS AWESOME!!! Could use some more sound effects, but it gives a good feel for a DJ to use. Still working on my scratch though lol

Great app! It’s so awesome and easy to use! I like the effects, but the one thing that I wish you could do is import your own samples. Being someone who likes to mix samples of a song into another song it would be awesome to be able to import my own samples. Other than that, it’s a amazing app!

Did my first gig with this product and it will be my last! After spending days working with the product getting ready for my gig, building sets and working on cool transitions between songs, I get to my gig and half of my songs would not load. After trying to reload and pointing the software over and over again to the xml file, still had issues. So here I am trying to get it to work while I’m doing songs live, I was going back and forth between iTunes and itDJ. I’ve written to the company and they were not much help. The other issue that was killing me as well was DMR. Some of the songs that I imported from CD’s that I own would not play and I’d get the message, DMR songs, on the website for trouble shooting they tell you how to fix this, but that did not work for me. My case in point, I wanted to pull up the actual songs that were giving me trouble, are now working. That is what I found with using this software, it’s inconsistent in how it’s working. I would stay away from this product if you are a paid working DJ.

I bought this app the other day tried to use it and when I enlarge it to full screen , the app crashes my computer and freezes it up When I forced closed my computer I tried again to open it and I couldnt get it removed from my dock after I closed it , it just stayed there , once again I had to close down my computer for it to go away. I contacted the company , no response Did I get ripped off?

I spoiled myself by using Serato DJ for such a long time that I actually believed there might be a software controller that could equate to using a real controller. - When trying to jog the wheels the ENTIRE screen moves. - Would be nice if you could zoom in on the waveform so as to get a good feel for the upcoming beats, if not, maybe think about adding a Quantize function so we can start on song on the beat (1/4, 1/2 etc.) - For those of us that actually harmonize music a “key” column would be great. - A “Cue” button would work too…I mean, you’re trying to mimic a controller so why not actually MIMIC a controller? It makes too much sense, I know. Don’t purhcase until these issues have been rectified. Virtual DJ is your better bet and it’s FREE! I gave it 2 stars because it looks good and it imports music from iTunes…kudos for that.

PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU BUY!

This is a horrible waste of money, please don’t get it. I had $10 and used it on this, I regret it a lot.
